post Category: All Things Geek post postMarch 24, 2008 Digg!

I used to use a plug-in that displays your most recent flickr photos at the bottom of my post editor. But ever since the upgrade, I haven’t been able to find a suitable replacement. Even the very cool photo dropper isn’t doing the trick for me since I do prefer to use my own photos first before searching for others’. The old plug-in I used to have allowed you to filter between your photos and everyone else’s.

Although I do love that photo dropper actually screens those photos which are only free for commercial use (not that I’m business, but you get what I mean) unlike my last plug-in. I’ve tried installing Flickr Manager, but it obviously hasn’t been updated for 2.5 as yet.

I have issues uploading pictures using wordpress itself so I can’t go that route. And I’m too lazy to upload them to my site and type the e-n-t-i-r-e URL out. :P

Does anyone have any suggestions?

You want more? Sorry, this is the only post I have written on this topic so far...

Horaayy..there are 3 comment(s) for me so far ;)

Your wish is my command - FB is updated! AND, I have an answer to your question. Or, at least, I will tell you what I do.

My method involves Greasemonkey (a Firefox extension) and a script for greasemonkey called “Flickr cut-n-paste to blog”. It’s as easy as it sounds.

It automatically adds credits to photos - of course you can remove them if you’re using your own! I generally use the advanced search to make sure I’m using CC images. Hope this helps!
