Ok, so I’m really hoping that I don’t find next year’s contestants as enthralling as this season’s because I’m beginning to hate myself for posting so much related to the American Idol. Although, I do have to say their final episode was quite entertaining with small appearances from huge stars like Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Seal, Bryan Adams, Donna Summers, Robert Downey Jr., and so on.
I was glad that Jason Castro was able to perform Hallelujah one more time, and that I got to see Brook White perform one last time (though hopefully not the last). But most importantly, I am so glad that David Cook finally showed some emotion and cried when he was announced this year’s American Idol. David Archuleta put on a brave face upon receiving the news. Proving me wrong, yet again, for thinking that he’s too young for the industry… he could have easily thrown a tantrum like your average 17 year old kid but he didn’t
I’m glad I watched the episode, but I do wish I had gotten more work done as I need to write some scheduled posts for while I’m on holidays so I can focus on visiting and commenting on your blogs as well as replying to your comments here… and also checking out the entrecard forums where I’ve been spending some time lately. The ‘regular’ entrecard forum folks are quite funny and if you haven’t visited yet… give it a try one day when you’re bored!

It’s funny…, I completely lost interest in American Idol last season, and if I watched any of it this season at all, it was because that’s the channel the television was on with no one watching and didn’t turn it off when done.
I couldn’t tell ya anything about any of the contestants this season, since I spend most of my free time reading everything I can get my hands on. I’ve lost interest in much of today’s tv shows, so it’s really no reflection specifically on American Idol. Television has gotten to the point where I just don’t want to watch any of it.

I’m glad he won… but sometimes it seems coming in 2nd place is a lot better for ones career when it comes to American Idol.
I’m so glad that David Cook won! And he’s shown emotion a lot on the show before. I do think that David A will have a career but he’s not to my liking at all.

I’ve found myself fast-forwarding through more and more of each episode this season. I’ve always been TiVo-ing it, and ffwding through the majority of the results show (seriously, how long do you need to tell me one person’s name!??!), but I have found myself getting bored and impatient at even the performances this season.
But I’m a sucker…the thought of new Idol auditions and a new season is still exciting. For a gay guy, like me, this is like a football season with the finale being the Super Bowl.
… Well… crap. That just spoiled the next two hours of my life… My wife and I were just about to watch it on TiVo… oh well, at least my fave from the beginning won. It’s about time a rocker took it.
*still sore about Daughtry grumble grumble lol*

just glad it wasn’t that David Archuleta kid.
My interest in WATCHING the show kinda died out as well, but I still remained a fan of Archuleta… even though I didn’t take the time to vote for him. LOL. But good for David Cook!

Lin - I think because I skipped past Seasons 2-6 I didn’t mind this season as much and I’ve been able to appreciate some of the changes they made that actually have made the show a little more entertaining. But I still hope next season I can cut this show out of my life. Look out for this guy David Cook though, he’s a real star
Monique - That’s so true… I’m sure it will be case for David Archuleta… because he needs some time to grow up before he becomes this big star that American Idol tells you you’re going to be.
Connie - I know! I do kinda see how people like David A though, he’s quite talented… just a little bit… baby for my liking!
Mike - haha you are a sucker! I’m really hoping I don’t get suckered in again next season but somehow… this twitch is telling me otherwise! lol
Lou - Awh I’m sorry! Did you ever have any doubt he was going to win though?
Michael - I haven’t seen it first hand myself but I’m pretty sure Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton and some (if not most) of the cast of the ‘hit’ TV show ‘The Hills’ can show you how it’s done… it’s not a far off expectation from American television.
Chris - hehe do you watch American Idol??
Jillian - Awh, I thought David A was talented but I just feel like he’ll be so much better when he grows up just a teensy bit more, you know? lol I think I only know 1 person that voted?!
yah david cook is not that good i think david a should have won so SUCK IT !!!
