I’ve been posting quite frequently lately, and I haven’t had any intention of slowing down but I’m finding myself frustrated at not being able to check off some items on my ‘to do list’ for my blog. I’ve been meaning to do a number of things for some time now. Since it would seem that posting my ‘to do list’ online works better than simply having it somewhere on my computer, I’m going to do just that.
In no particular order my ‘to do list’:
[ ] Create a more meaningful ‘elsewhere’ page.
[ ] Clean up any redundant/useless info on the sidebar.
[ ] Clean up my directories.
[ ] Move celebrity photos from my flickr account.
[ ] Change my theme, preferably to something that doesn’t make my snazzy archives look like ass.
[ ] Figure out how to make my headers change like 7milesdown.
[ ] Decide on pictures/images to use.
[ ] Come up with another weekly feature.
[ ] Optimize the blog so it loads faster.
[ ] Install something like Wordpress or Injader on my domain.
[ ] Upload more of my work on to my portfolio.
Update:
Tasks will be moved from the above list to this secondary list once completed.
[x] Create a (useful) plugins page - created ‘Featuring‘ Sun Sep 28.
[x] Update the ‘author’ page - cleaned up and added link to ‘Geek me up‘ on Sun Sep 28.
I’m sure there’s more, but I started this post at noon on Saturday, and still haven’t been able to post it because I’ve been distracted by life.
Before i go I also just wanted to bring your attention to Michael’s new blog, please visit him over there and help him celebrate the move to .org.

Yes, its time for another cat post. For those who are new to my blog, Flickr Friday is my chosen method of showcasing my favourite photos from my flickr photostream on my blog. Today’s Flickr Friday is dedicated to my beautiful little girl, Serine. We’ve had some problems with her using the entire house as a litter box, but I think we’ve finally solved the problem.
I’m ashamed to say that the problem was me. You see, my Mum ended up cleaning her litter more often than I did because I was just plain lazy. And I think she didn’t like that, she wanted me to go be the one in there cleaning her litter. The change was almost instantaneaous, and after 3 days of consectutively using her litter tray properly we let her out of her little room. So now, she’s roaming the house free and has been my good little girl.
I was really worried for a while there because if she didn’t learn how to use her tray, I would have lost the battle against my parents to keep her. You see, we’ve all developed allergies: My Mum was the first to get it, then me and now my Dad has developed a whooping cough that just won’t go away. And I think we can deal with just the allergies alone, but using the entire house as a litter box is just not going to cut it anymore. Now I may be speaking too soon because it’s only been a few days since she’s been out of her room but I’m hopeful.
She’s quite a bit younger in this photo, but it’s one of my favourites; it reminds me of the days when I was able to let her sleep with me in my room. How I long for those days, but my allergies would keep me up if I were to let her sleep with me now. *sigh* What’s a girl to do?
Have you ever had this problem with a pet? How did you solve it?

I’m really hoping that everyone that’s wanted to watch the season premiere of heroes has watched it by now, because if you haven’t then you can’t read this post. So be warned now, there are heroes spoilers in this post. I decided to give myself a few days to think about the season premiere and the more I think about it, the more disappointed I have become. I don’t know if it’s because I’m being influenced by everyone else’s feedback but there was something not right with Season 3’s opening episode(s).
First of all, Claire can never die? Then what was the whole thing with the wood in the back of her head in season 1? Also, what’s with the scene at the beginning where she’s about to kill Peter. Peter asks, “What happened to you, when did you become this way?” And then after Sylar takes Claire’s power, she can’t feel pain anymore… so does that mean that regardless of what Peter does Claire will turn out the way she did in the opening scene of the Season premiere? I’m all sorts of confused.
And why would Peter send his old self into another person’s body and put himself in harm’s way like that? I mean yes, he thought he was protecting his old self by locking him up in the cell like that but surely he has more sense than that if he’s supposed to be a few year’s older. And how did he *not* know that his brother wouldn’t die? He has Adam’s blood in him, after getting badly burned in Season 2 - hasn’t it been made clear to us that it doesn’t exactly disappear once it’s entered someone’s body? Oh and where is Adam anyway?
What else… Oh! Sylar is a Petrelli? How on earth did that bomb not drop sooner? Why did she think it was ok for them to try and kill him in Season 1? I wonder who else is going to end up being a member of the Petrelli family. Maybe, Nikki/Jessica
Oh I’m all sorts of confused indeed, but I will not give up hope. I love this show far too much to let this ruin the show for me. And if anything else, I’ve fallen in love with the actors too much to stop watching the show. If they ever lose Milo Ventimiglia, Hayden Panettiere and/or Kristen Bell I will consider abandoning the show.
What did you think about Heroes 2 hour Season Premiere?

*disclaimer: Most of what you are about to read is true, some of it is a lie. Distinguishes have been made by way of footnotes.
When Debbie first asked for volunteers to be judges on the contest; everyone told me there would be no glory in becoming a judge for Mr. Entrecard but I think I they were wrong. The Mr. Entrecard competition showed me things. Some of these things were exciting, some were unbearable but all of these things taught me some valuable lessons.
The most important of all is that everyone is beautiful inside, everyone is funny, everyone is smart and everyone is sweet if you only gave them a chance. The problem is that some people tend to judge you as well and decide which ’side’ of them self they want to show you. It becomes difficult to allow them to show their other side as well and you’re both stuck in the cycle of being mean to each other. But I know better now.
The second lesson is that sometimes some people really are, just who they say they are and it’s obvious whether you’re reading their words anonymously or talking to them face to face. And I’m grateful for those people because they make the Entrecard forums such a pleasant place to be in.
The last lesson I will divulge is that I’m not very smart; in that my memory really sucks, and my reading ability is extremely selective. Our wonderful founder Debbie had asked for prizes, and I missed it. She had also asked for people to put in suggestions for questions and I missed it. I’m not sure what’s causing it, but I do know I need to get my eyes checked again soon. But anyway, I hope I’m not stepping on any toes but even though I didn’t offer up any prizes I’m linking the winner on my blog as well.
Naturally, I can’t talk about a contest and not tell you who the winners were… so without further ado:

Acadia, the male half of the brilliant duo over at Superficial Gallery

Ken Armstrong, Irish Playwright/Author and Aldon of Orient Lodge!
Congratulations to the winners! Everyone that participated was amazing for being the great sports for answering the questions so honestly.
